In addition, the heaters prevent the formation of potentially harmful condensation in the control cabinet. The häwa range includes a selection of control cabinet heaters for various applications.
What is a control cabinet heater?
Control cabinet heaters are used to heat control cabinets, enclosures or other confined spaces to create a uniform and constant temperature.
This is because the electrical components installed in control cabinets generally have their own comfort temperature. This temperature depends on the type of component and the outside temperature. Particularly when control cabinets are used outdoors, they need to be partially heated to keep the temperature at an ideal level.
Special heaters for control cabinets are used here. Usually, the control cabinet heater is controlled by a thermostat or humidity controller. This makes the control cabinet heater self-regulating, heating control cabinets or enclosures to the desired preset temperatures. This prevents frost and condensation.
If there is a risk that the components in the cabinet will overheat, air conditioning, for example in the form of filter fans, heat exchangers or air conditioners, is also installed.
When do you need a control cabinet heater?
Control cabinet heaters are used when there is a risk that the temperatures in the cabinet could become too low, which could lead to malfunctions, condensation or corrosion of the components. Thus, they are often installed in outdoor control cabinets. The heaters can be supplemented by filter fans, heat exchangers or air conditioners to counteract high temperatures if necessary.

Heater with PTC thermistors
The heaters from häwa are PTC control cabinet heaters. They are equipped with a PTC thermistor that enables dynamic heating, acts as a temperature limiter and withstands high voltages. The control cabinet heaters with fans have compact dimensions and are designed for continuous operation. Choose between the versions of the small semiconductor heaters CSK and the semiconductor heaters. The devices are available with different nominal voltages.
Heater fans
In addition to heaters, häwa also offers PTC heater fans with various heating capacities and nominal voltages up to 230 V AC. The fans are characterized by their compact design and particularly quiet operation. In addition to small heaters, we also offer heater fans with a thermostat control system. An axial fan with ball bearings ensures forced air circulation in the cabinet.
