SPS, the leading trade fair in Nuremberg: häwa draws a largely positive conclusion

Wain/Nuremberg, November 18, 2024. The 33rd edition of the SPS – Smart Production Solutions trade fair in Nuremberg reflected the current mood in the industry. Fewer exhibitors, but more trade visitors, led the organizer to draw a mixed conclusion. This was also confirmed by häwa GmbH, which, however, impressed the trade visitors with its extensive range of products and was satisfied with the trade fair overall.

“After three intensive days at the trade fair, we draw a mixed, but overall positive conclusion,” says Marketing Director Kathrin Lay. häwa GmbH, the leading quality supplier of electrical enclosures, control cabinets and well-designed enclosure solutions for the installation of electrical components, impressed visitors with an attractive stand and numerous products ‘to touch’. The motto ‘from stock product to perfect customer solution’ was the overarching theme. Sales Director Joachim Pfeiffer: “Specific customer solutions based on standard products are a hallmark of häwa GmbH. We showed exhibits at various levels of completion at the trade fair – and proved once again that customized solutions do not have to be expensive.”

Naturally, X-frame, the patented solution with the versatile application possibilities, also played a role at the SPS. In use thousands of times over in the most diverse industries and sectors, X-frame is more than just a machine frame. No two machine frames are the same in terms of function. However, they all have one thing in common: they must be able to grow with their requirements. That is why X-frame is a modular system that offers maximum flexibility. This concept has been successfully implemented since 2008 and is constantly being further developed. Among other things, an X-frame machine frame with an integrated, swivel-mounted control cabinet was shown at the trade fair.

Cobot workstations for various applications, including X-frame solutions, were also on display at the häwa stand, along with the range of tools including the Quickpress 300, Multipress 500, Powerlec Vario Plus and the 2678 wiring channel cutter. häwa also presented a control cabinet with active cooling and an anti-vandalism lock that meets RC2 standards. Also on display was a cost-effective control cabinet based on a catalog enclosure with UL approval, and a control cabinet combination based on a catalog design with customer requirements incorporated, all the way up to a customer solution – a cost-effective offer because the development is based on häwa standards. A control cabinet for robotic applications was also on display. Filter fans, some with water protection hoods, heat exchangers and cooling systems are installed on the cabinets.

Just in time for the leading trade fair, häwa's completely redesigned website also went online. Kathrin Lay: “After a long and intensive period of work, we are very pleased to have significantly expanded our online offering, along with our revised corporate design, and to have added many new features to increase overall user-friendliness.”
